Alchemy, Inc. and Mythological Mentoring
G. Kwame Scruggs, Ph.D., recipient of The New Mythos Grant is holding an event in conjunction with the grant received from OPUS.
Alchemy, Inc. is a non-profit organization that offers a safe group environment for youth to focus on topics directly related to their stage of development. Alchemy Inc. has a unique and innovative approach which uses myth and fairy tales in group discussions of common mythological motifs such as sacrifice, trials, conflict resolution, decision-making, perseverance, humility, confidence and strength to promote an understanding of the developmental processes for the youth to emulate in their academic and social behavior.
