MARIJA GIMBUTAS

Marija Gimbutas was a Professor of Archaeology at UCLA and author of the ground-breaking book on Neolithic religion, The Language of the Goddess. Her discoveries have taken on great symbolic importance for feminist theologians.

 

 

JAMES HILLMAN

The father of archetypal psychology, Hillman is a leading scholar in Jungian and Post-Jungian thought. He is recognized as one of the most important radical critics and innovators of contemporary culture.

 

 

THE JOSEPH CAMPBELL COLLECTION

This extraordinary collection contains nearly 3,000 volumes in the fields of literature, art, philosophy, religion, and mythology. Many of the books are rare, and most have Campbell's personal notations in the margins. The collection includes personal artifacts, art, re-mastered audio tapes of lectures, video tapes, manuscripts, research papers, photographs, and memorabilia amassed during Campbell's 38 years of teaching at Sarah Lawrence College and lecturing throughout the world.
